This year’s Great Train Extravaganza is on December 1st, 2019 from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Empire State Convention Center at Empire State Plaza in Albany, New York.

Visitors to the Great Train Extravaganza can expect to find vendors selling all kinds of new and used trains in numerous scales, plus parts and accessories, as well as railroad memorabilia, photographs, clothing, and more.

Or maybe you just want to watch some trains or take in the awe of some of the most talented model builders in the hobby? The Great Train Extravaganza features thousands of square feet of operating model railroads in all sizes along with exquisite scale dioramas on display. We even have an operating LEGO® layout and a circus train exhibit. We also have a Roaming Railroad you can ride on for a fun trip around the Plaza Concourse.

The Great Train Extravaganza takes place at the Empire State Convention Center and The Egg located at Empire State Plaza right in downtown Albany, New York, just minutes from the New York State Thruway and I-90. Parking is available on-site for a nominal fee in the Plaza’s parking garage.
